Seeing life through the eyes of a bratty little kid in the doctor's office
Yesterday, I met my mom at the doctor's office to get my throat checked on. While we were sitting there, we were observing this bratty little kid who would NOT stop asking him mom questions. It wasn't the cute little kid kind of thing, either. It was the annoying ten-year old who was asking questions just because he could and knew that he would get his answer if he asked enough times. I started thinking about it and realized...wait a minute. That bratty little, question-filled kid was me. That's how I am in my relationship with Christ. I ask and ask and ask and each time I ask, I expect an answer. But what do I give in return, not a whole lot. Very little, actually. This thought came to me this morning when some of my first thoughts/prayers of the day included the question of "why?" Do I really want to know the answer? Sometimes. Sometimes I don't because maybe I already know the answer but don't really want to HEAR it. Just a thought. I had to get it down real quick.

Aren't we all that bratty, question-filled kid deep down inside. Aren't you glad that God doesn't punish us for asking the questions. I am.
WOW! Bratty kids and doctors offices are only worth being around if you gain something spiritual from them :) Love you Ashley King. I like the metaphor that God showed you!
